Kian Egan of Westlife married Jodi Albert, actress, model and Wonderland singer in Barbados on May 8th, 2009.

Westlife Celebrity Wedding –

Kian Egan of Westlife, one of the most successful boy bands to date, married Jodi Albert, actress, model and Wonderland singer in Barbados on May 8th, 2009. They had no doubts where they wanted to host their wedding, having fallen in love with the island where they enjoyed their 1st vacation together as a couple in 2003.

After doing due diligence, Weddings… beyond your imagination!! was selected as their wedding planner of choice, and the process of venue scouting and planning began in earnest. Emails flew back and forth, with the couple visiting the island a few times during the process. After all, what better excuse to visit this paradise isle which had so captivated their hearts!

OK! Magazine purchased exclusive rights for coverage of the celebrity wedding, capturing the event in its entirety.

As they say, ‘Pictures say a thousand words’, and this couple’s were no exception! Everyone enjoyed the wow factor of this close friend and family affair, from start to finish.

Kian & Jodi’s ceremony venue, was a phenomenal, beachfront villa. Guests were welcomed by two majestic, tropical flower arrangements in coral stone urns. They next saw the pool, decorated with floating floral arrangements and rainforest vines, a view which opened to the ocean front lawn where their Ceremony was held. The lush Caribbean garden created an exotic mystique which enhanced the island vibe for their 1st time, visiting guests.

A custom made, white aisle runner bordered by fresh flower petals and island flower arrangements led to a Lily Pond nestled in an imposing, coral stone, Pergola, covered in tropical vines in full bloom! Can you think of a more perfect setting to say ‘I do’!
The serenity of strings filled the air as the ceremony began, while authentic Steel Drums celebrated the couple’s joy as they tied the knot! The warm sunshine and fragrant scent of the flowers made for a truly sensational afternoon.

Guests enjoyed Cocktails and Canapés immediately following the ceremony, all with a single orchid in hand, a token of appreciation from the couple for journeying all the way to Barbados for their exotic, Bajan wedding!

Another villa, in fact Simon Cowell’s favourite on the island, was chosen for their reception venue. The unobstructed views of the Caribbean Sea offered by this cliff front villa, were only rivalled in beauty by those from the resident gazebo. Bordered by a pond of colourful Japanese Koi fish and wrapped in white Chiffon, the Gazebo ceiling was strung with hundreds of fresh Orchids, creating an enchanting focal point for the Chocolate Wedding Cake covered in fresh Strawberries. By the time guests arrived, the cake table was graced with Jodi’s Bridal Bouquet, and their delight joined the lullaby of gently rolling waves on the shoreline below.

Jodi chose a backdrop of crisp white for her wedding décor, while incredible bursts of colourful flora in oversized glass vases made stunning centrepieces against the clear blue skies, and vibrant, turquoise hues of the Caribbean Sea, mere feet away!

As dusk fell, and stars filled the sky, flames danced in the pool florals and ambient light reflected off the ice Buddha in the central Jacuzzi, and a personalized Fireworks display erupted out to sea, proclaiming ‘Kian loves Jodi’! The island’s top Reggae Band, enticed guests to ‘jam’, and the Irish did what they do best, dancing in and around the pool, lead by Jodi herself, the 1st to get wet, wedding gown and all!
Many hours and a thousand memories later, Kian and Jodi watched their 1st sunrise as Mr. and Mrs., surrounded by their nearest and dearest, in our little piece of paradise – Barbados!

Kian’s band mate and pal, Shane Filan told Star Sunday on his return “It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I have ever seen. It was dazzling from beginning to end. I am so happy for Kian and Jodi, they are the perfect couple and they have had their dream wedding. Myself and, Gillian and the two kids had such a ball over there. We can see why Jodi and Kian love it so much.”

The eldest daughter of former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern revealed “It was just amazing, I have never been to anything like that before, everything was just so beautiful and the location was really exotic”.

I just wanted to email you all to firstly congratulate all the team for a wonderful job. I do know that you made the couples dream wedding come true. Please pass on my thanks to all your team. Kian and Jodi were two of the most gracious hosts that I, Lisa, have ever had the pleasure of working with. Their ultimate goal was that their loved ones experience Barbados as they themselves knew and loved it, so that they would not only understand the special place that Barbados holds in Kian and Jodi’s hearts, but that our little rock would captivate them as well. From all accounts Kian and Jodi enjoyed yet another success, achieving their dream for one of the biggest days of their lives as this was truly a
Wedding… beyond your imagination!!
